Terms of Use

1. Who you are dealing with

QuoteScout is a trading name of Saeera, registered in Singapore under UEN 202522400N ("we", "us"). These terms cover this website and the quote-sourcing service we run over WhatsApp. By sending us a request, or by replying to a request we send you, you accept these terms.

2. What the service is

A customer tells us what they need. We approach suppliers who cover that job and that area, ask each the same question, and put the prices that come back side by side for the customer. If the customer picks one, we introduce the two of them directly.

That is the whole of it. We source and present prices — nothing more.

3. What the service is not

This matters, so it is worth being blunt:

• We are not a party to the contract. Any agreement for work, payment, scheduling, warranty or dispute is directly between the customer and the supplier. We are an introducer, not a contractor, agent, broker or escrow.
• We do not perform any of the work quoted for.
• We are not a lead-selling platform. We do not sell contact details, and we take no commission on work that results from an introduction.
• We do not handle money. No payment for quoted work passes through us at any point.

4. What it costs

Nothing, on both sides. Customers pay us nothing to have quotes sourced. Suppliers pay us no fee, no subscription and no commission — which is precisely why the prices you see are not padded to cover a middleman.

If that ever changes, we will say so plainly and in advance. It will never change for a request already in progress.

5. Quotes and their limits

• Prices we pass on are the supplier's own, relayed as given. We do not mark them up.
• A quote may be indicative — a range, or subject to a site visit — where the supplier has said so. We pass on that qualification with it.
• A quote is subject to whatever validity period the supplier states, and to their own terms once you engage them.
• We compare on the scope and wording we were given. If the job as described differs from the job on the ground, the price will too.

6. If you are a customer

• Describe the job accurately. A comparison is only as good as the brief behind it.
• Your name and number stay confidential until you choose a supplier. Choosing one means we pass your details to that supplier so they can contact you.
• You are free to pick one quote, several, or none. There is no obligation of any kind.
• Do your own checks before engaging anyone. Licences, insurance, permits and workmanship are the supplier's responsibility and your decision. We do not vet, certify, endorse or guarantee any supplier, and inclusion in a comparison is not a recommendation.
• Do not ask us to source quotes for anything unlawful.

7. If you are a supplier

• Replying is entirely voluntary, and free.
• Quote honestly for the job as described, and honour the price for the validity period you state.
• Tell us if you are not licensed or equipped for the job, rather than quoting anyway.
• Your price goes to one customer only. We never disclose it to other suppliers, and we never name you to them.
• You will be told how your price compared — where it placed and the gap to the best price — never who quoted or what they charged. Please extend the same discretion.
• Reply STOP at any time and we will never message you again. No questions, no confirmation loop.

8. Reference codes

Every message we send carries a reference code in the form QS- followed by four digits, such as QS-4471. It exists so you can confirm a message is genuinely ours.

Online lookup of codes is not yet available on this site. To confirm a code, send it to us on WhatsApp at +65 8185 8285 and we will tell you whether the request is ours. If a message claiming to be QuoteScout carries no code in that form, treat it with caution — and please tell us, so we can look into it.

9. Availability

We aim to come back within one working day, usually much sooner, and typically with three to five quotes — but that depends on how many suppliers cover your area and how quickly they reply. We cannot guarantee a minimum number of quotes, a particular price, or that any supplier will respond at all. This website and the service are provided on an "as is" basis, and we may change, suspend or withdraw either at any time.

10. Liability

Because we are not a party to the work you arrange, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, delays, pricing, licensing or conduct of any customer or supplier introduced through us, nor for any contract you enter into with them.

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity and loss of data arising from use of this website or the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Since the service is provided free of charge, where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to SGD 100.

11. Your information

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. In short: we collect only what a quote request needs, share it only with the parties to that request, never sell it, and stop contacting you the moment you reply STOP.

12. Our content

The QuoteScout name, this website and its contents belong to us. You are welcome to read, quote and link to this page — including to show someone that we are a real, registered business. Please do not copy the site wholesale or present yourself as QuoteScout.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do. The terms in force when a request is made govern that request.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
