Who this policy is from

QuoteScout is a trading name of Saeera, a business registered in Singapore under UEN 202522400N. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Saeera trading as QuoteScout. You can verify our registration on ACRA's BizFile.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can control it. It applies to both customers who ask us to source quotes and suppliers we approach for a price.

What we collect from customers

When you ask us to source quotes, we collect only what a quote request needs:

• Your WhatsApp number, and the name you give us.
• What you need done, and where — the job description, area or address, and any details you choose to send, such as photographs or measurements.
• The messages you exchange with us, so we have a record of what was asked and quoted.

What we collect from suppliers

When we approach a business for a price, we collect:

• Business contact details — trading name, WhatsApp or phone number, website and service area. These come from publicly available sources such as business listings, map and directory services, and your own website.
• The price and terms you send us in reply, and the messages in that exchange.

We do not need, ask for, or want personal identity documents, bank details or payment information from suppliers. We never take payment on your behalf.

Why we use it

• To describe a job accurately to suitable suppliers, and to put the resulting prices side by side for the customer who asked.
• To introduce a customer and a chosen supplier to each other once the customer decides.
• To tell a supplier how their price compared — where it placed and the gap to the best price, never who quoted or what they charged.
• To keep a record of requests so that a reference code can be confirmed if someone asks whether a message really came from us.

Who we share it with

Personal data from a quote request is shared only with the parties to that request.

• A customer's identity stays confidential until they choose a supplier. Suppliers receive the job and the area, not the customer's name or number.
• A supplier's price is shared only with the one customer who asked for it. We never tell other suppliers what you quoted, and we never name you to them.
• Once a customer chooses a supplier, we introduce the two directly and step out of the way.

We never sell personal data. Not to marketers, not to lead brokers, not to anyone. We are not a lead-selling platform and take no commission on work that results from an introduction.

Service providers we rely on

Running the service means some data passes through third parties, each of which acts on our instructions:

• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — messages are delivered over WhatsApp and are subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — for this website and the systems that store request records.
• An AI language model provider — used to draft outreach messages and to read replies into a structured comparison. Job descriptions and quote replies are processed this way; we do not send identity documents or payment details.

Automated processing, with a human in the loop

Our outreach is handled by an AI assistant working for a real person. That is why our messages arrive quickly and are worded consistently — every supplier receives the same brief, and nothing is embellished. A human reviews the comparison before it goes to the customer, and no decision that affects you is left wholly to the machine.

Withdrawing consent — the STOP rule

Reply STOP to any of our messages and we will never message you again. No questions, no confirmation loop, no retention campaign. We action it on the spot and keep only the record needed to honour it.

We only ever contact suppliers about a specific job. We do not send newsletters, promotions or marketing messages of any kind.

Your rights under the PDPA

You may ask us to:

• Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year.
• Correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Withdraw your consent to our use of your data.

How long we keep it

We keep a quote request and its messages for as long as the request is live, and for up to 24 months afterwards so that a reference code can still be confirmed and a dispute settled. After that we delete it or strip it of anything that identifies you. If you withdraw consent, we stop using your data immediately and delete it once no legal obligation requires us to keep it.

Keeping it safe

Access to request records is limited to the people who need it to run the service. Data is held on access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfect, but we do not hold the categories of data — identity documents, card numbers, bank details — that make a breach most damaging, because we never collect them.

Children

QuoteScout is intended for adults arranging work with suppliers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in our messages to anyone affected.
